A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words…Not Really!

We pride ourselves on the amount of research Judy does to list an item, and also on the number of pictures we insert into a listing.  It is a very time intense process, but we have found that the pictures can very well make the sale.

Over the years, I have taken many thousands of snapshots and we insert multiple pictures, sometimes as many as twenty, into each and every setup.  The retakes can also be quite numerous, as each picture must be clear, with little glare.  An average picture taking session can take 2-3 hours a day.

However, on eBay, it seems there can never be enough of anything, as the questions/requests for additional photos are never ending.  Could you take a picture of the “left index finger” of the doll, or how about the “background color”, I’m painting my bathroom and would like to use that particular shade of blue…

eBay is a difficult environment to work within, but I am convinced that Judy is the “master” of the eBay universe.  Pictures are just one component of what goes into a listing, and the amount of time and effort that goes into making an auction successful is sometimes overbearing.  The next time you are looking to sell something, why not go to a professional to sell your valuables, the fee you might pay is well worth the returns a “professional” seller brings to the table.
